Today I’d like to discuss two important questions: What is the role of an ISA, and what’s going on in our real estate market?

What role does an inside sales agent (or ISA) play in the real estate process? Today I’m joined by special guest Nathan Hissong to discuss this question. Once we’ve covered the answer, I’d also like to share a brief update on our local market.
First, let’s talk about ISAs. Nathan Hissong is an inside sales agent on our team. According to him, the role of an ISA is to work behind the scenes making prospecting calls to buyers and sellers. The support ISAs add to the real estate transaction is just one example of why hiring a team can often be preferable to working with a single agent.
Think of it this way: When buying or selling a home, would you rather trust all your needs to someone working on their own or to a team of people working collaboratively?
All that being said, it’s easy to see the value ISAs bring to real estate teams like ours.
Making your move now could save you, or make you, tens of thousands of dollars more than what you’d see if you were to act later.
Now let’s move on to a quick look at our current market conditions. For one thing, interest rates are on a steady rise. Recent reports indicate that rates will likely be in the 5% range by the end of 2018. This will have a significant impact on our market.
Buying power is one area that will be dramatically affected. So, while we may be in a seller’s market at the moment, now is the time for buyers to make their move. Waiting even just a few months could cause buyers to qualify for thousands less than what they might be able to afford right now.
This will also affect sellers. Listing your home now while buyers can still afford higher prices is certainly something to consider if you want to net top dollar. Depending on whether you’re a buyer or seller, making your move now could save you, or make you, tens of thousands of dollars more than what you’d see if you were to act later. And working with professionals to guide you through your transaction is one of the best ways to guarantee success.
